{"id":4746,"date":"2021-12-07T15:55:48","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T15:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetblackdevs.joomlawired.com\/?p=4746"},"modified":"2021-12-10T13:35:24","modified_gmt":"2021-12-10T13:35:24","slug":"buyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetblackdevs.joomlawired.com\/?p=4746","title":{"rendered":"Buyer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This position will be Monday to Friday and we also offer hybrid working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Manage and co-ordinate materials procurement within the designated areas, frameworks and supply agreements<\/li><li>Identifying potential suppliers and new products<\/li><li>Contacting a range of suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations and agree delivery times<\/li><li>Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well organised work schedule<\/li><li>Assessing sub-contractors and suppliers<\/li><li>Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials<\/li><li>Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures<\/li><li>Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms with suppliers<\/li><li>Providing advice to the project estimator on the predicted cost of individual items<\/li><li>Liaising closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided<\/li><li>Assess and advise on commercial risk<\/li><li>Preparing and maintaining cost reports in order to maximise efficiency within the business<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Skills Required<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re after a proactive problem solver, a confident communicator with strong negotiating skills and a team player, someone who can prioritise tasks and manage their time to meet deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful candidate will be able to build good relationships, be well organised and self-motivated. They will have previous experience of buying, preferably within the construction industry. A CIPS qualification would also be an advantage but is not essential.
